Trips and Visits

Calstock and surrounding area

We make the most of the beautiful village and area of Calstock with regular walks around the village. We explore the nature of the local woodland and Tamar river, or we connect with the community by visiting local business and taking part in village events. 

We enrich the children’s experiences at preschools by engaging visiting activity leaders. In recent years these workshops have included dance, music and clay work.

Visiting Specialists

We also regularly invite guest specialists to preschool to lead one-off workshops or a series of sessions over a term. Recently the children have taken part in dance workshop, drumming and clay work.

We also ensure that the children learn about safety and have had fire and water safety sessions with the fire service
